John Bailey is an internationally famous angler, author and broadcaster. His 1991 book ‘Casting for Gold’ inspired a generation of wild carp fishers. As President of The Wild Carp Trust, John is our figurehead with the passion and influence to raise awareness of wild and feral carp.
Better known by his penname ‘Fennel’, Nigel is an author, publisher, and magazine editor. His book Wild Carp was one of the catalysts for the formation of the Wild Carp Trust. In addition to his role as Chair of Trustees, he is our spokesperson responsible for press relations and publicity; he also edits and produces our newsletter and publications.
Ben Cornick is a fishery management consultant and fish farmer who oversees our fish rearing programmes. He’s also studying the growth rates of heritage carp compared to modern cultivated strains.
