193 carp were caught and rehomed by the Wild Carp Trust, 67 of which were caught by British Carp Study Group secretary Rich Hodgkinson who applied match tactics to beat Graham Mabey’s record of 66 carp from the previous year.
The highlights of the event were the evening socials when everyone gathered around the fire pit to enjoy huge feasts cooked by Fennel and his team. 38 pizzas were made fresh and cooked on the Friday night, then an enormous BBQ was held on Saturday night. On both evenings, the food kept coming for three hours until everyone was completely full.
