Famous carp angler Shaun Harrison has volunteered three days of his time to help the Wild Carp Trust to catch wildies from Llyngywn to go into the charity’s conservation programme.
Wild Carp Trust founder, Fennel Hudson, said: “It is a privilege to have Shaun here with us, catching wildies for our conservation programme. We have permission to remove fish via rod and line, and the going’s tough at the moment as the water temperature in the lake has dropped and the fish aren’t behaving as usual due to low oxygen levels at the lake. Shaun is on fish-catching form, having caught 20 fish already, so we’re confident in getting a good number of carp for our new conservation pool.”
