Oxygen meter donated to assist survival of Llygwyn carp

12 April 2024

Air Water Fish has donated an OxyGuard Polaris dissolved oxygen meter worth £1,000 for use by the Wild Carp Trust at Llyngwyn. We will be checking dissolved oxygen levels daily, monitoring for crashes following weed decomposition or rainfall.

Wild Carp Trust chair of trustees, Dr Nigel Hudson, said, “Neil Featherstone at Air Water Fish epitomises everything we could hope for in a fishery management partner. He’s hugely knowledgeable and knows exactly what equipment is needed regarding fish welfare. That he has donated such a valuable oxygen meter is hugely humbling. It’s essential in our management of the water, and something we couldn’t have afforded to purchase for years. The Llyngwyn carp’s future is much brighter thanks to Neil’s generous donation.”
