Twelve months after we collected them as eggs, the Wild Carp Trust is pleased to report healthy growth of our young carp. The fish are now about three inches long (less than half that of a cultivated carp of the same age, although their growth is slow as they are not in outdoor ponds with unlimited access to food) and developing a deeper shape that is typical of a young carp. We are in the process of creating a growing-on pond to where they can be transferred for the coming year.
