The carp fry secured from Llyngwyn in September have overwintered well in their rearing tank. Doing what carp do, however, has meant that some turned predatory and ate their brethren.
We started with 65 and now have 36. Surveying the fish this week explains why. The larger carp have eaten the little ones! They will be separated forthwith and told to behave!
The one shown here is three times the size of its brothers and sisters. Greedy thing.
