A new collection of articles by famous angling author Chris Yates has been published by Little Egret Press. Named ‘Reel Time – Volume Two’ the book contains Chris’ magazine articles from 1990-2002.
There is a chapter on wild carp entitled ‘Holy Water’. In it Chris Yates writes, “Best of all I like the wild carp, a fish that it always associated with these well blessed [monastery] waters. In fact, the wild carp is my favourite fish.”
The article, originally published in Improve Your Coarse Fishing in April 1994, was a catalyst that encouraged a new generation of anglers to grab an Ordnance Survey map and search for lost wildie pools.
