Launched in 2013, when Matt Tanner, Stu Harris and Fennel Hudson first had the idea of forming an organisation to conserve and celebrate our oldest strains of carp, the Wild Carp Trust’s Facebook Group has grown steadily with members from across the UK, Europe and the United States.
What began as a niche following of devout wild carp enthusiasts has now become a thriving community of more than 500 members.
Matt Tanner, the Wild Carp Trust’s Social Media Trustee, said: “It’s humbling that so many people care passionately about wild and feral carp. We have a mixture of anglers and conservationists regularly exchanging ideas, stories, photos and perspectives; it’s great to see so much enthusiasm for the wild carp.”
